OX Roast is Sept 29. The event starts at 18:00 and goes until 23:00. This is a time of speeches. It is a time of food! It is a time of dancing! Our keynote speaker is Joseph D'Amore, a honorary Beta Nu and our National Secretary.

| Resolute Man Scholarship Now Available |

Beta Nu of Theta Chi is now accepting applications for the Resolute Man Scholarship. All freshmen men enrolled at Case Western Reserve University are eligible for the $1,000 scholarship.

| Matthew Richter Honored at National Convention |

Matthew Richter (BN '11) was honored tonight at the Theta Chi Fraternity National Convention in Palm Springs California. Brother Richter is the second runner-up for the Reginald E.F. Colley Memorial Trophy and was awarded a certificate.
The Colley Award is the highest honor bestowed upon an undergraduate member of Theta Chi Fraternity and to be selected as a finalist is a great honor. The recipient is chosen for distinguished service to alma mater, fraternity, and chapter.
Brother Richter served Beta Nu in countless positions including Marshal, Vice President, and President. He also served on the Interfraternity Congress for two terms and as president of Order of Omega. |

| Beta Nu Wins Howard R Alter Award |

Beta Nu Chapter of Theta Chi fraternity has won the Howard R Alter Award for Chapter Excellence at the National Convention in Palm Springs California.
The Howard R Alter Award for Chapter Excellence is the most prestigious award presented to a chapter to recognize overall excellence in chapter organization and operations.
This is the third time the Beta Nu Chapter has been awarded this distinction. The last two times were in 2001 and 2008. |

| Spring 2012 Chapter Grade Report |

Beta Nu of Theta Chi had a chapter GPA of 3.347, ranked fourth of fifteen for fraternities, and was above both the all men average and all fraternity average.

| Beta Nu Completes 490 Hours of Community Service |

As part of the Interfraternity Congress and Panhellenic Councils challenge to complete 1,000,000 minutes of service for the 2011-2012 academic year, Theta Chi completed 490 hours exceeding their goal of 476 hours. Theta Chi's volunteered for Community Greenhouse Partners, Hiram House, Red Cross, Church of the Covenant, Ronald McDonald, Habitat for Humanity, Kids Against Hunger, Boy Scouts, and several others.
In addition, Theta Chi raised $890 for Community Greenhouse partners through the second annual VOX LipSync contest and $475 for Relay for Life.

Brother Evan Gallo was elected as the Vice President of Communication for the Interfraternity Congress. He will serve in this position until the end of the Fall 2012 semester. Brother Gallo has served the chapter as Marshal for two semesters. |
